Ebay has 1L cans of panel wipe if you want to order one for next time if it won't arrive in time for this job. I ordered this one last week and it seems decent
One of the things about bodywork I learned was to get all supllies in early and plenty of them to not stop progress
Somewhere I have a box with starchem tack cloths and some halfords paint preperation wipes which are cloth pre soaked in panel wipe. Cant find them..
But as both parts are back to primer, I can wipe with thinners before basecoat, and then straight on with clear.
I would wait until you have panel wipe. Don't use thinners or anthing else. Panel wipe.
is that so?Normal. Leave it a week then flat and polish.
I've found the same. It's a handy degreaser.Panel wipe has many other uses. It is a great degreaser and is safe with rubber and plastics. I have used it instead of brake cleaner.
If I'm going to do some painting I usually have to buy a new 5l can of it because I've used the old can up for stuff other than painting.

I have followed up with 2000 , 3000 just to make easier on buff polishing situation and because I had that grade paper in stock.Still normal. If it flats out without penetrating the lacquer, it will polish. Flat it with 1500 wet.
