Evening all.
Apologies for making my first post be a question but this forum seems to be incredibly helpful from my searches.
I'm currently renovating a fiberglass based car and am getting round to the paint. I'm still debating pro vs diy job but cannot make this decision without knowing more info for the diy side. I have pretty much decided on a polyester basecoat and 1k clear rather than celly. I dont have any safety gear yet but can't stretch to a full airfed system and am not willing to risk my health using 2k stuff.
So I guess now comes the question, brands. I have a few retailers in mind which have been very helpful so far but the price difference between the basecoats is quite large. I'm currently looking at either Jawel or Octoral and then probably U-pols clear over the top. I'm struggling to find much in the way of reviews of either brand except one thread here saying Jawel is perfectly fine (albeit in 2k form)
