Pains in bicep.

I don't really want to ask as I realise it's hard to diagnose most things but I have had a weird pain in my left bicep . It started when I was wearing a bulky coat but is now occurring more often and not just when I am wearing clothes.

The only way I can describe it is an excruciating pain that occurs for a few seconds.
You can't locate where it came from as it feels inside the bicep.
It does not need movement for it to occur.
You can't make it occur by squeezing it or prodding the area. It feels almost like a sharp needle. I do inject my stomach daily with insulin and at times they hurt for no reason but they are only 4mm deep.
This pain feels deep inside.

It's around the area I have flu and covid jabs. But not sure which side the flu or covid one was. They did one each arm this year.
I keep wondering if a bit of needle might have snapped off.

Either way it's happening more often even when I am in bed now.

Anyone had similar??

one of my lads who work for me has the exact same thing...burning jab in his vaccination arm that comes and goes but never gets better.

A really broad spectrum on this forum, but pain especially in the left side arm, you really need to be talking to your Dr….

I know it’s not what you are asking but with mind to your medical with Diabetes, it might be wise to have a chat with your GP.
There is a condition associated with Diabetes that can present with sharp nerve pain.

I hope you find out what’s happening.

Pain in left arm can be a sign of heart disease, get it checked asap.

While you cant trigger it by moving or prodding the arm, do you find its more common while resting or after activity?
Keep a note of each time it occurs, time of day, and you were doing and your state of excertion.

Do you mean bicep, or deltoid - muscle around sholder that the vaccinations go in. Is it related to neck position or anything?

It could be lots of stuff but particularly if you are diabetic it could also as suggested be heart related, so a non welding forum related medical opinion is a good idea. Even after 30 years in the trade I can't do online diagnosis!

Not brought on by exertion. First couple of times I noticed it (couldn't miss it, it's agony for a few seconds.) I was actually driving in the morning very short distance. I have only had it 6 or 7 times.

But as the resident ED Consultant I'd advise looking into it a little bit more.

Funnily enough I had a conversation with a patient about angle grinders yesterday. Mainly about the fact he should have fitted the guard on his angle grinder which would have saved the whole ambulance trip, hospital assessment and transfer to plastics to repair the massive hole in - funnily enough - his bicep.

the useless gits injected me in to a tendon my arms now in constant pain after over a year on a night my hand goes dead and have to turn over and rub it on the second jab i told the guy and he said they should have done it further round . no covid or any other jab including flu since boll.ox to that

Not really. I just wondered if it was widespread. First reply indicated I was not paranoid.
I did actually phone the Doctors at 8.30 but no appointments left for the day.

I am also on OZEMPIC and lost 2 1/2 stone.
I speak to the Nurse every who doses my wife's warfarin ( well I dose it and see if she agrees) I have been doing it for 21 years now so instinct is a remarkable thing.

But to clarify I wondered if it was widespread and an age thing and as my wife was 38 and being treated for toothache, which turned out to actually be artery pain which was a blocking left carotid artery that eventually turned into the stroke. I am more than aware the potential of left side pains.

This is not a pain I have heard described before though.
I theory I have is the jab damaged/affected a bone as I am more convinced it is actually slightly tender above where the pain generates from.

So I am not doing diagnosis by welding forum in isolation.

As a further example I have a totally different type of pain that results from lifting my right hand when in a specific orientation (usually stretching and twisting) that was diagnosed as injured rotator cuff.

So thanks for all the advice I do intend to get an appointment next week.

I always insist on getting injections in my backside....There's something about jamming me in the arm that makes me
want to pass out.

They just fold down the belt line about 2" max.
Because I know most injections have swelling pain for awhile, swelling there is much less irritating.
I have plenty of padding there.....
