Yes, that is my understanding, once its shared it is water company, infact when the end house had problems the drain contractor said that to us unfortunatlely our access was no help for them.
Its still near the top, I am hoping it is not flooded in the morning!

It couldnt get much higher! he kitchen drain is about 10cm below the main access, so should never happen but will mean sewage will be flowing towards the kitchen drain and out into the storm drain..
