Was that the JP who had the farm near cheshire oaks?

I do miss it but fully understand why it stopped.
I miss my Budget off roaders
At one of John bashes a lad shows up in a monster truck type thing but the lad with the Suzuki LJ beat him in every event, he even slept in a shipping container as he had no money for a hotel!
My SJ I swapped for a very high performance winch, sold it to fund a Florida trip, the Vitara was about £300, £100 for the wheels and tyres and £20 for the lift kit, the kids pained it aged 6 and 8!
Had it 5 years then sold it as it just wasn't used, at one stage i didn't have the money to have the MOT work done, one of the local off roaders did all the work for free so I could keep it, then had a few Discos for towing currently have an old £1000 P38 which I love but they are just too big and heavy for off roading
The Land Rover owners used to tell me how much they had spent, a Suzuki owner will tell you how to do it for next to nothing using the wrong bits to get a good result

Hi, It's not just the pinion angle, The toe/camber angle won't be affected because it's a live axle but the caster angle can be. So try and keep the new perches parallel with the originals and that will keep both the pinion and caster angles the same.
@CompoSimmonite if your lift was by longer springs then the same applies it can adversely affect caster angle unless you have modified radius arms.
Colin
caster angle should not matter on the rear should it
Can't remember how high exactly as done by a previous owner before I bought it. It had non original shocks so assume they were part of the conversion. When I fitted standard springs and shocks (sold the lifted springs and shocks as a set on eBay for more than new standard cost !) I reckon the vehicle was 3.4" lower.how high? My current disco 1 is in standard height and I’d forgotten how low it is compared to every other Landy Iv had.
I normally stick a +2” lift kit on as soon as Iv picked the car up. Decided to keep this one stock for the time being

Just a Warn 8274 with a high capacity Iscra motor bit old hat now I suppose. Good thing was it didn't owe me much so was a good swap for meI bet the winch wasn't as high performance as mine?

Seen a few lads using them, but tbh I’d be going for a known brandAnyone know what the Rhino winches are like? Nosing on Ebay and see the prices range.

I have a tabor 9k (budget warn) but in all honesty if I can get hold of a superwinch husky, that’s what the 110 will be wearingWow that was quick! I’ve had a SWB 2.4 Terrano for a long time and not had the funds to go off-roading with it, now it has progressed to Toy status and the modified insurance is in place. It’s a bit beaten up at the moment as I was pushed under an artic trailer by a BMW X5 on the M25 so now might be a good time to start a winch bumper.
