they only go up to about 10mm thick no use in a bore though. there tapered not measure by length you slip them between a gap till it goes tight on the taper and it gives you the thickness needed .

I've got a pair of those "Not dividers" with scale markings on. Might have had the prongs trimmed down because the scales aren't to scale.

Proportional dividers. So you can scale down or up a drawing. Ie measure master with big end, set to scale, turn upside down and transfer to copy.

Proportional dividers on the left, I have a very similar set in a case, you can set them to different scale ratios for drawing or taking scale measurements off things. Havent used mine for about 35 years since i was doing yacht design at college!
