I have a 6 x 5 metre extension downstairs lol. Most sorting is now complete and don't my fingers know it. Lol


I am fishing tomorrow so I hope to get some parcels picked and packed on Friday and over the weekend.

Anyway I have managed to put together a representative selection together. It's not just a case of what is available, but what is available in large enough quantity.
Biggest problem is to get a usable number of each bolt etc under the 20kg shipping limit.

So my plan is this......suspend all orders as of now...ship to anyone who has ordered and confirms the selection suits them.

Then try and see if I can satisfy individual requests for specific bolts, self tappers , machine screws etc

A mate is lending me set of scales that can count and weigh. This will be useful so if someone asks for x number of x bolt I don't need to count them . Just weigh them

I will try and now measure and list what is in the proposed pack but please bear in mind it's not easy to ensure 100% accuracy and some of the thinner/ smaller bolts are already mixed.

It would be nice and easy for me to stick all the bolts in the same bag but I am trying to keep the bolts already sorted apart to help you store them.

I can't say I am totally enjoying the lifting and humping but the sorting is strangely therapeutic. And if any one upsets me in the street during the next month or so I had better be careful as these guns are 4 times the size they were last week.

Can you tell us more about the rivets and self tappers please?
I'm almost totally out of my stock of blind waterproof aluminium pop rivets and van/truck box body sort of sizes & lengths .
I'm looking to buy approx 3.2 , 5 , 6 and bigger diameters in various lengths.

Self tappers ..a few proper self tappers that are hardened or alloy steel with a proper cutting edge in various lengths would also go down well in all sorts of sizes

That pic weighs 21 kg Inc the basket. I need to confirm the weight of the basket but I intend to make up identical packs for shipping. Please note there are several bags of smaller bolts and self tappers round the side that do not show up very well. There are some rivets but not a massive amount and they are mixed with various screws so I intend to sort these out later and will supply a list people can order specific items from but this won't be a quick operation to be honest. Shed will soon be taking priority SWMBO is running out of patience lol

As I wrote while you were posting there is a lot of self tappers but I did not want to cause any more confusion. Lol The rivets are all mixed up together with rivnuts and washers etc and I hope to see what's there over the weekend sometime. I am prepared to remove the 4 largest bolts and replace these with self tappers in the packs if some people want them instead but any more personalisation would create too much work in the short term to be honest. Once I have half the money recovered I will be happy as I have only paid the guy for one ton and the second ton will be paid as I sell them for him. Most of all I persuaded him not to bung the lot on ebay...

It looks like it would be a fair bet to have mystery selection packs , put together with a shovel .
Put the nuts bolts washers etc etc inside two white poly prop sand bags and wire tie them off individually . Use a broad permanent marker pen & put the address on the outer bag before filling them , put the delivery address inside as well . Maybe put the initial fills inside a strong plastic bag as well , such as the heavy duty B&Q black rubble sacks 10 for £ 2.50 9 ish ) & tape them up before putting them inside the white sand bag .
Get white poly prop sand bags from .Travis & Perkins / Keyline builder merchants etc. @ approx 60 p each .

That's how I've received quite a few 10 to 20 kg weights of small loose bits & bobs that won't unduly suffer if they get a bit of rough handling .

I myself have no big requirement of business use stuff as I'm retired mentally & physically , but a decent mixed selection of things could be very useful over the rest of my birth certificate .
Turning down nuts & bolts into other things seems to have become a habit this last year or so .

I've just had a few sweet nothings in the cauliflower of SWMBO

Please put me down for one mixed mystery bag to include some pop rivets & self tappers please. A few big bolts are OK as I can turn them down into other useful things on my lathe .

Remember that the Paypal etc have to tell HMRC when you start to make money and when certain levels of income have been attained whether it is trade sale or as gift .

I had a hobby that suddenly started to make regular income for a short period . HMRC contacted me so did the old DHSS , apparently I'd not informed them of my " business on eBay " and I'd reached the levels where it would affect disability payments .
I was able to explain the source of income and that it was only a very short term thing that was happening as I'd been disposing of all all manner of things related to my hobby because the disability and two strokes now made it impossible for me to carry on .

I think he's sold 7 million tonnes of bolts and nuts, and is waiting for the new factory to open in China to speed up production on the back orders.

Seriously, I dont know. But I'm happy to miss out since demand is so high and I was just trying to help out lol.
