I spent about 9 months working at a steel mill in Pittsburgh Pa.Some how My boss knew I was a gear head and took My into the bowels of the mill and We went up a story and looked out of a small window about 1 foot square in a wall with a piece of steel turning in it. I could not see over or under it. I asked what was it? Boss told Me it was a big casting that was 6" too big to go through a rail road tunnel. Some one scoped out out the transport job and missed it by 6". The train got to the last tunnel 15 miles away and had to reverse and bring it back to have 6" turned off.

Edgar Thompson,still there just running 1 furnace according to rumor.
