All you need is 2 pieces of bar and a vee block, press spigot is usually 1", choose a diameter for the tool a touch smaller than the required radius to allow for a spring back, for a small one of job the vee could be made out of a piece of angle or two pieces of round bar, the idea can be easily adapted to be used in an arbor / bearing press, or even make a small frame and utilise a bottle jack.

made this tool for 1.5-2.0mm sheet. just a bit of bar welded onto some reinforced section, fairly easy. have also wreaked a v block with wire, but that was trying to do a right angle, not curve.

did,nt want to get sucked in, funny. have only made one set of gates myself, ended up an unfinished project. all the same would,nt mind trying out a bit of scolling myself, just for the experience. would like some king of rolling set up. something cheap and cheerful, very handy to have i think. i repeat though, everybody needs a six ton flypress in their shop.

I starting to get the hint but funds are a little low how much would a flypress cost there is a few here http://www.apexauctions.com/auction/50252/view?page=1&gclid=CMSAx7Wtu5gCFQsJ3wod60kjag but I hate to think what delivery would-be so I've been thinking along the lines of a lever press and maybe some tooling like in TIG Paul picture which shouldn't be to hard to make

you will pick up a no6 fly press local no problem, youll have to, there a right hand full. theres no comparison between fly and lever. i would'nt like to try and form 50x10 flat with a lever press. buy and sell is a good place to look. there a heavy metalwork tool auction room in portloaise that have flypresses, not the cheapest though.

If you hear of one going cheap let me know ill keep an eye on the buy and sell where is the tool auction room in Portlaoise I might have a look at their stock just to get an idea of prices
a lever press should easily handle wire for a face guard and should be easy enough to make
