Hi there, my name is Alex and im a moderator over at Rdtiburon.com
I drive a 2001 turbocharged tiburon that i built myself, not being the type to pay others to do work for me i finally decided to take up that last bit of "mechanics work" that had been the only thing i couldnt do.
So in February I bought a welder and ive been using it on and off for small projects since then and ive improved in skill steadily, although if i found this site a while ago id be a pro by now!
My welder is a Cambell Hausfeld MIG FLUX VERSA-ARC 95, its not a Lincoln or nothing, but it does the job pretty darn good and i havent found anything i cant do yet. Ive welded brackets, one -off parts, tons of exhaust parts, flanges, Intercooler piping, and im soon to delve into aluminum welding.
Another good thing is i still haven't hit max duty cycle (it has auto shut off) so i havent had to stop and wait for her to cool down yet so im happy.
Those that arent familiar with the welder it is a 70 amp max 40 amp min, 4 heat settings, 1-10 infinite speed select, Gas & FlUX welder, with a bottle rack mounted on the back of the unit
For less than $300, im really happy with what i purchased.
Anyway, being familiar with these sorts of forums hopefully i can post up some pics of some things ive done and you guys can give me some constructive critisizm and ill mosey around the forums and if i happen to know the answer ill chime in as well.
Just did a custom exhaust today actually.
