New yard/work boots

I still think my William Lennon are the pinnacle of work boots, I now wear dealer boots as they save time getting in and out of overalls

Love mine, I ended up with two pairs somehow? Six months from order to delivery now. I am with you for the getting on and off though, pain in the ass. Now, like yourself I am looking for a slip on/off solution but in information overload with this thread.

I gave up buying them back in the 90’s Bob. They were fine till they got a puncture then that’s a pair of boots wrecked.

Fine for daily general use maybe but not in a workshop setting.

You never see a policeman with them on now either. That speaks volumes to me. They’re on their feet all day.

I keep trying everything then just going back to riggers.

Easier all round. Banned in a few places I go to which is an issue hence the search for lace ups that are user friendly

I had some Helly Hansen Magni. best boots ever. Ratchet thing rather than laces.

They fell to bits. Record was one week for a pair. I did about 3 or 4 pairs in 6 months before they refused any more replacements and refunded me. £300 a pair. If they lasted I’d still be buying them.

Much more comfortable than the general issued boots.

Chatting with my mate about something else and asked her out of curiosity. She reckons they have free reign as long as they’re compliant to EN whatever and are black.

Said the same as @Bobupndown about magnums. What’s she’s got.

The tarmac forums reckon the haix ratchet ones last and tarmac gums everything up. Also a bit less the 300 a pair. Failing that Engelbert Strauss will have something decent I'm sure their boots are great I just wish they did some in brown leather as I hate black boots.

Haix are good boots.

Never tried englebert. They may be next on list
