Ok thanks for the info.It alters the torque setting.
Any lubrication means that you require less torque to achieve the correct clamping force. Or to put it another way - using the normal torque setting would result in overtightened nuts/studs. It can be quite a margin too, 30% wouldn't be exceptional.
Quoted torque values apply to a “dry” fastener unless otherwise stated - so for example some ARP headstuds are torqued while lubricated with a special grease, but they do explicitly state that.
For wheelnuts etc it is assumed the fasteners are torqued without any lubrication.
