It is ,but what normally happens is they spin them on with the impact to about 250ftlbs then check with a torque wrench set to 100 ftlbs .I thought it is now law that they must be torqued properly and not windy gunned on?

How do they work? What about the Dugga Dugga torque limiters ?
I've seen them in sockets too but the extension bars seem more practicle for dealing with different sized nuts.

It's common for tyre monkeys to inflate the tyre to the pressure on the sidewall, and some will argue that's the recommended pressure. The highest pressure was 45psi on the nearside rear!
What do you expect from fully trained experts on ,possibly, minimum wage. It's common for tyre monkeys to inflate the tyre to the pressure on the sidewall, and some will argue that's the recommended pressure.
No, it's the max safe pressure for max load.
They work very, very well. I ended up buying a load for our fitters because they were destroying too many fasteners with a few extra ugga dugsWhat about the Dugga Dugga torque limiters ?

The tyres actually have a note on the side wall saying maximum pressure to seat the bead 40psi.It's common for tyre monkeys to inflate the tyre to the pressure on the sidewall, and some will argue that's the recommended pressure.

Guess it's another advantage of living in Wales and having lots of small independents. Don't have this issue with any of them.
Plus they all remember you. Although that might be because I've turned up in several 4x4s, a 6x6 and an 8x8...
Thats where you need the copper grease I guessAlso some wheel bolts do themselves up, or chemically weld themselves up.
Only had half the tyres to change...They are probably pulling straws to see who gets the 8x8![]()
Why?Thats where you need the copper grease I guess
...thats a joke of course.....please please please don't use copper grease on wheel nuts/bolts or any torqued fasteners!!!!
Why?
