Hi, I bought my Migmate 120 in November 1986, I don't use it very often, just small DIY-type jobs around the house and car. I have switched over to 0.9 gasless fluxed wire, which I find suits my amount of usage. Earlier this year I started to suffer from wire feed issues - jamming or very jerky. However, this wasn't a great surprise as I had never changed the liner. I bought and fitted a new one - TBH it didn't go very well, and it's perhaps even worse than it was. I now think I should treat the machine to a new torch, but I am struggling to find one that is guaranteed as compatible. Was there anything 'special' about the 120 that sets it apart from other Migmates?
I can find adverts such this: "COMPATIBLE WITH THE SIP RANGE OF MIGMATE MIG WELDERS - 105, 130 & 150 AMP MODELS, & THE WELDMATES 135 & 155" but the 120 is conspicuous by its absence.
I could buy a cheaper 'generic' torch, but am concerned that I will end up having the same problems as I had when trying to fit the liner.
Any suggestion where I can get a suitable torch at the best price?
TIA
