Its just people want big name brands.

They are disposable bikes. Better off spending slightly more on a second hand machine that will lose a lot less value. A 125 is something you have for a short period of time and move on to something bigger.

It's a long way removed from the Original Chicken.
I can but hope that it will at least be available in Mist Green, though......

I know a lot of parts are manufactured in Ukraine, and they've been a bit busy with other things going on.

Both unfortunately.

CMPO seems to be main importer of Chinese bikes plus MotoGB.

Not uncommon for a factory to do a run of bikes and then switch tooling to a completely different one with limited parts runs.

If you are at the mercy of a no named ECU that basically they've only made enough of for one production run you are screwed.

Even Delphi which used to be a reputable ECU supplier has slipped down the slippery Chinese slope..

That’s a nice looking machine. I would take Indian built over Chinese every time. What I can’t fathom though is where all the weight comes from? 185 kilos? Wow. Sensible prices as well.

The Royal Enfield Bear 650 is 214 kilos, another fatty, very heavy for a parallel twin. Nice looking bike, a shade over €7k here, hmmm. There are rumours that RE will put this 650 twin into the Himalayan adventure style bike next year.

But what are the Indian guys making them from? Are the frame tubes really that thick? Or is it the modern stuff like fuel injection instead of a carb, ABS etc. There’s not a lot of plastic so it’s strange where all the weight comes from.

My 2004 FJR1300a was only about 280 kilos, with the 1250cc 4 cylinder and a lot of fairings, shaft drive, big brakes etc.

I also wonder how India built bikes will do in a British winter. There’s not a lot of need for corrosion protection in India. But the uk has Salt on the roads, constantly wet, snow, ice, so it might not fare that well.

Got my road race B.50 down to 100.2 kg dry, and that with the original frame.
There were sub - 95 kg ones about, but with the Terry Meades frames.
I'm sure that the BSA drawing offices must have had some very good pencil sharpeners, because trying to get weight off of those things is far from easy......
