New motor for lathe

The motor arrived today.



Quite surprised by its weight. Heavier than I expected. Any 3 phase motor I've previously encountered has seemed relatively lightweight compared to its single phase counterpart. The junction box is metal rather than plastic too, which is a nice change. From a quick glance, general build quality seems decent.

I got TEC motor 3+ year ago and a VFD from the same distributor, cant remember who they were but they were excellent after sales support on the VFD.
The motor is very good IME, doesn't even get warm, as you say, heavy and well constructed.

I ordered that from Amazon. For 10 metre, there's only just over a quid difference to CEF's price.
