It would be OK if they introduced seperate pumps for E5 and E10, but no, they're just forcing it on everyone. Modern(ish) cars won't be a problem. As you read on here, its the small cheap appliance engines which sit for periods of time - they'll suffer.Am I the only one who is excited by this (in a positive way)?
E85 is the absolute bomb when it comes to making power from turbo charged engines, and I have personally been experimenting with Vpower blends with alcohol in the Subaru. I used to run 5litres of E85 to IIRC 40 litres of fuel, so that made it .... E9.4, so close enough to E10, and the car made more power and power came in slightly earlier (because we could make timing changes in the map). The road dyno (same stretch of road, in the same direction) showed about 10% increase in both torque and power compared to the petrol only map.
I wish they'd have gotten with the programme here in the UK and introduced E85, but I'll take E10 over E0, personally.
In theory burning alcohol as a renewable, will help stop CO2 emissions. What is the reason to create it?
No it doesn't. This has been disproven many times. It takes more fossil fuel energy to create it than it than energy provides (More CO2)
Wouldn't surprise me. The timing of this covid plague seems to coincide with efforts of the administration to bring back industry from there to the US.well the USA military recon we'll be at war with China in ten years.so why bother.
And all this export tax and vat extra charges.Wouldn't surprise me. The timing of this covid plague seems to coincide with efforts of the administration to bring back industry from there to the US.![]()

The corn farmers demanded laws that required a certain amount of alcohol be used per year, supply and demand is not a factor. No it doesn't. This has been disproven many times.
The rest of your points, I agree with youalthough the corn farmers in the midwest would disagree - the ethanol plants help regulate the price and keep it stable, as it's a pretty constant demand.
They are being replaced with GE units with 3X the output. The whole green energy thing in this part of the world ,is a method for robbing tax payers, while accomplishing nothing.
When the subsidies run out, this is what happens .
I suppose its better to get with the program rather than side step the issue and rehose fuel lines to cope, Gates are already on it https://www.moss-europe.co.uk/ethanol-proof-fuel-hose-by-gates.html

As long as you don’t run out it’s fine hahaaye, no more carbs, just bleeding fuel pumps, filters and diesel bug.....![]()
nah only kidding it'll be fine..
