your quite right ,,, but ,,, x front gives all the space you need , quieter and even more refined ,,, if its only for shopping and a max ten mile round trip perfect . they are about 70hp , thats the same as the original mini cooper in a car that weighs less , with better brakes and steering . They are so handy round town as they are nippy and small , easy to park , and actually fun to drive . The trick is to reprogram your head away from all the things you think you know and take them for what they are . 86 quid a year fully comp insurance , zero road tax and 58 to the gallon average , takes a lot of beating I have three cars at the moment but the Aygo gets driven most. Is it an A6 ,,, no , but thats not what its all about.Having spent some time in a friend's C1 I would disagree. Felt cheap and nasty inside with an underpowered engine that sounds like a sewing machine.
The rear seats are useless apart from holding your shopping. Not enough leg room for rear passengers.
Going from a Golf to an Aygo would be a big step backwards.
