They can say what they like, it doesn't mean to say that it has any validity in law.

Yes, I understand that, but if they specifically say "this product is too crap for business use" before purchase, and then somone buys it, and uses it for business use, I think the claim against them would be hard.

Like complaining your new TV has broken as you used it as an anchor.

To be honest i cant fault my Axminster hacksaw either...this model and seems well made for a 2004 model.

I've also had one of these for 12 years or so and it's been faultless, but it is built like a traction engine ;o). The Axminster 3 in 1 'Formit' thing that I bought at around the same time though, has never really been any good. The guillotine has never worked consistently and the rolls need so much faffing I just don't bother ...folds nicely though ...should be called a '1 out of 3'!

I got a message from Axminster saying that if its ok with me they will send me a new switch to fit as they think it will be that.

This is one thing i like about Axminster, as its in the UK you get good response and service.

wont buy from them any more due to overpriced Chinese C@rp.......
when the qual comes back I'll look again.....but hold no hopes.....
glad I never bought any big stuff......
I needed a polisher so made this from scrap, aprt from the bearings....oh it has gaurds now for the belt....

If Axemenister are sending a new switch.
Get it in writing that changing it will not invalidate any warranty.
