Need a replacement Ignition transfromer

Definitely not Kew. But still not sure. Were is the exhaust? Is there still a spark at the electrodes.

Exhaust exits from the rear, under diesel tank. You cant see the electrodes. You can hear the stat if you turn it down to ambient temp

What gap should the electrodes have

About 4-6 mm make sure there's no carbon build up or a short on a lead. You should be able to start the machine and check for a spark but I wouldn't recomend pulling the trigger with the burner out

If the fuel filters are blocked the fuel doesn't always spray correctly and ignite. There should be a filter inside the fuel pump and one on the back of the burner nozzle.

They are miles apart 20mm+. I'll clean out the tank, and strip the rest.

20mm is just a bit to far apart. If the filter on the back of the burner nozzle is a sintered metal filter they don't clean very well

Nozzle filter was well manky. I've stuck it in the Ultrasonic cleaner, with some brake cleaner.

What distance should the electrodes be from the nozzle face

Nice one. The nozzle strips down. I'll get it rebuilt and see if it fires up

I've not run it long; washing and nextdoors kids playing.

It's now getting hot hot hot very fast now, cant hold the lance now.

I now have the urge to steam clean everything

@carbon, Could I use a systolic pump, to pump the soap into that pressure adjusting block. I've never had any success with the sprung loaded ball type

I could wire it so it only pumped when water was flowing, and when required

How does the water enter the machine? Direct connection to a tap or through a small break tank

Direct. The other [cold] washer I have I used to fill a tank with hot water and just pour some soap in, it worked but was a faff.

Its a bit limited then unfortunately. The best way is the way it already is. Try removing the pressure nozzle & see if it will draw any detergent with the trigger pulled.

I'm not sure thats a soap inlet, it doesnt have a ball and spring, it's open but the nut above it, is blocking it off.
