Had a bash on the side which has damaged the switch box. Is this a DOL starter or just a normal push button switch?
Drill looks pretty good apart from that. How do you open the lid though? Loose and moves a bit but won't open!
take the center screw out of the red knob it holds it on by the guts of switch
My Elliott came with a cable with 13A plug and the standard rotary switch. It really doesn't need a MEM starter of the type fitted. Maybe in a commercial/educational environment, but not for home use.
I didn't notice the 1st picture that starters well shot just grind the bolts of the back or use a slitting disk
It is 3 phase by the way. Does that make a difference?
Didn't these come with reverse on the rotary switch? If so, using a vfd like Turbo says will let you have reverse, whilst a standard dol won't.

I believe a drum switch lets you change direction but a rotary only lets you turn on/off.
