he said he don't need to much room.......hahaha
3mm whats it going to be anti mine shielding !! I used 1mm(flat) sheet on mine ,then 12mm ply for floor boards , I did how ever put a sub frame made out of 50mm box between arches (3mm wall) to strengthen as original members were shot , it carried pallets with 1 ton on it no problem , so I think your 3mm is a bit excessive , apart from anything else it will make it very difficult to weld the original thin tin too you will also be adding lots of weight.
I did add some pics of my iveco floor recently but now cant seem to find them to show you , trust me if you do it properly with 1mm it wont be flexing
@jimbo84 Thankyou , much appreciated hopefully it might be of some help
The n/s shock mount is welded to the pate with a round cap, looks to have had a bag in it at some pointhad a few ivecos ,sorry havent seen anything like that before.
could have had air bag assisters on I geuss, must admit that chassis looks way rustier than I am used to ? is it all still good , wouldnt want you to spend a lot of time and monies to find 18 month down the road you need to revisit welding/repairs for safety/mot.
I've got a bead roller if you want to try putting some ribs into some sheet. You can b****r off with 3mm though. I think it is rated to 1.6mm.
