i know i posted some of my project on the arc welding section but as its begun properly i started this thread.
basicaly im building as custom chopper/hybrid bike using a murray bmx as a start.
i was gonna use a couple of mountain bikes ive got but im not a big fan of suspension bikes.
ive already taken the bike to bits, chopped the rear end off and will be chopping all the crossbar and lower bar off soon.
ive got some 3/4 internal steel gas pipe with a wall thickness of about 3.5mm and some solid 22mm rebar which im gonna make the ape slinger handlebars from.
im going to extend the forks with the heavy gauge 3/4 internal pipe and use some other smaller pipe to sleeve any joints.
im gonna start the handle bars first using the rebar hopefully tonight once ive done my household duties, lol
im also gonna build a long seat with a back rest eventualy.
this should be a right laugh. as long as it stays in one peice.lol
big thanks to chunkolini for feeding me some pearls of wisdom when it comes to fork splicing.
peace
