You may well be right but that's where the thirty day return comes in. I guess I'll just suck it and see how it suits - or not as the case may be.... the only slightly concerning thing is that I personally don't know anyone who has one and it would be good to get some feedback from a genuine owner/user.

And then just when I thought I'd made up my mind @Hood goes and posts a video to encourage further dithering! I started off reasonably sure I wanted a table type lift, and now the only ones I've ruled out are a table type and the one from Motea (not enough height)

OK it's now definitely a choice between the Abba and the one from Quantum.

Please don't throw any more choices into the mix - my heads already spinning!

You can see the guy climbing over the bike in the vid which shows it is pretty stable, it does move slightly but not anywhere near where you start to have worries. I have never attempted to climb over mine when on the lift but not for fear reasons, just it is hard enough to get on the Africa Twin when it is on the ground for a knackered short erse never mind when it is up in the sky

You think you've got it bad, try being a knackered tall erse - you have to bend much further to pick up everything you've dropped!

There just might be a reason that there is nobody with first hand experience. Also why are there very few,if any, in pro workshops? If they were any good the dealers would all be using them to save money and space . Just knock yourself up one in 4x2 and a bit of ply and just role the bike up it with a plank . If you don't like it you could always use the wood elsewhere. It's a working tool not a statement.
