That will be fine then for one of my applications, the main one though is removal of corrosion/paint from steel & cast alloy prior to painting. How about 290509209340 in course.

20/40 Garnet has been suggested for general use also, comments please.
Just quoted me £19 inc. shipping and advised that I would only get around two 'turns' with it and recommended ali. ox.

Have a look on Ebay for Pete Booth, t/a IneedGrit (he's in the links section somewhere), he'll sell it by the Pallet load. Cost me £45.00 for a delivery of 40 bags of glass grit from Birmingham to Sheffield.

Sorry to keep going on guys but I have been informed by a supplier that crushed glass will only survive a couple of 'goes' and ali ox was recommended. Is this the case or am I just trying to be sold more expensive media.

He's right, but I've used crushed glass more than twice, but it becomes less effective the more you use it, so you have to weigh up the extra cost of ali oxide with how much time you want to spend with worn expendable media.
I treat a lot of the stuff I do now in a paint stripper bath, this means I can use media more often, less pressure and it's quicker.

thats it mate u got it
also cutting concrete .drilling up into concrete ceilings and walls the list is endless but does health and safety say anything about it on sites where theres other people and public about NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 
what u do in your own workshop is up to yourself . health and safety have no say . but i will stress using dust masks or dust extraction gear is a must :

Oh Yes they Do!!! If you run a business from there. If it's just a hobby thing they're not interested.

HSE have no jurisdiction over a business that has no employees.That is a business which is not limited and all people who work there are partners or a sole trader.

They cannot enter workshops that do not have employees.They cannot walk in anywhere uninvited.They must present themselves and ask if they can come in.
I threw two of them off one of my premises a couple of years back.I told them they had no jurisdiction as the only people in the place were my son and daughter,both partners in the company.
The next day I had a visit from a senior inspector.He came to my office and said I was correct in what I had told them.We had a rather nice conversation.He asked if I needed help or advice with the power presses I had.I told him no thanks.He asked if he could have a look at some of my setups and I said yes and let him wander round the press shop.When he left he gave me his card and told me if I ever needed help or advice to give him a ring.My daughter was running a press on the setter`s catch and I had been running one with the guard up.He couldn`t do a thing about it.
So,to put it bluntly,I don`t believe they said that to you.
Another thing not widely known is that the minimum wage act does not apply to family firms.Firms who employ only family members are exempt.Wish I`d known that when son and daughter were fixing salaries.
