so lenth of a
lenth of b
or c instead of b
that was done with that hammer in the pic and also 4x2 wood I dont flatten with hammers i know better but to tap lead with just the hammer its fine as it can tear through if you just used the hammer head
did u get hall clips to hold the lead in the chase or are you making lead wedges
they will do but woods better than plastic
it looks like you have a flat plate and a rounded one the shisel type comes in handy to a degree for lead boxes
you dont have the round elongated one there

yea did know i did not have the round hammer type version but before you did say about a rubber hammer head ? ive got a couple sizes of them hoping that will do did look on screwfix and they where 15 each for them so £20 even if i used them only a few times in my life they will pay for them selves and i do have a wodden dressing stick already ( i think that ive used a few times )that was done with that hammer in the pic and also 4x2 wood I dont flatten with hammers i know better but to tap lead with just the hammer its fine as it can tear through if you just used the hammer head
was looking at them but as im going to have a bit of left overs and lots of lead ive removed id just thinking of rolling the lead and using the chase wedge to knock them indid u get hall clips to hold the lead in the chase or are you making lead wedges
again thanks all helps getting it rightif you do roll them roll tight flatten one side to a point tap in and then flatten further with the wedge
not realy about the cost want it done rightI had loads of lead also I still spent a few more quid on the hall clips they just looked like they would hold the lead in tight for years to come oh and save me a few hours
