No probs, it really has been quite grim for us but we just keep trying to maintain perspective Ultimately when we are in the new place and settled in it will be 6 months agro for many years of fun (we were in the last place for 20 years)but when you are in the thick of it taking that long term view is a bit challenging
On the plus side it has meant I am planning on rationalising the fleet down from 6 projects to 3 and some of them might actually get on the road soon
And the advantage of a 2400sw ft workshop is now I have the 4 post ramp installed can actually walk around it - yay
My dream was to buy a plot with land and put a 2000 sq ft agricultural steel barn up on it, but in the south this seems to be a pipe dream.
The good news is the market does seem to be calming down a bit, with SDLT being over and lockdown ending the supply is loosening up and that will reduce the whole bidding war nonsense on anything decent.
Becoming part of #vanlife and using sensible storage is definitely an easier way to do it than being in a chain. Also if you are in a position to buy without a mortgage that makes a huge difference as well.
If you ever want a chat just PM me
