I'm building it for Historic rallying and as a BDA is out of my budget range I'm going to build an all steel 2ltr pinto and 4 speed rocket box with fully floating atlas axle.

Colour is going to be Ford Diamond White inside and out.

I'm working away from home this week and then in Ireland for a couple of weeks at the end of November so won't be progressing much in the next few Months.

Sorry mate, its just sitting in the backyard right now, but was a 2 door ghia when new so has the slightly stiffer shell (all aussie shells had some reinforcement added). I`m waiting for the chance to get a rotiseree set up so i can do it properly

Managed to finish off the spare wheel well today and started to fabricate pieces of metal to repair the quarter panel to arch filler.

Welded in the radiator surround today, managed to seam weld it underneath except for the gussets, just needs some seam sealer along the top edge to make it look neat.

Welded in some wing gussets that came as part of a shell plating kit, added lower gussets to the rad support panels and fitted the rear valence skid plate.

Hard finding the time to work on the car these days but just managed to put in quite a few hours whilst I'm off work for Christmas.

I cut out the seat mountings and four link boxes because both are ugly looking things.

First job was to add metal due to the cutting out being oversize for the new 2piece boxes then welding in the new box. This has been the most difficult job yet and only just started on the other side as I have to completly fill in the cut out and start from fresh.

hiya rallyreturn, i ment is there additional bracing under the wings to stop tree incidents from causing the underside to fold or pull apart.

Do you mean bar extensions from the roll cage welded to the strut tops through the splash panels? If so No I haven't as these are not Historic legal, but if not then still No as you are limited to period design, if it wasn't fitted in the 70's then you cant have it. Hope this helps.
