Mitsubishi l200 injector fault

Ok, engine rebuilt , injectors taken to get checked, all tested ok, when I went to refit one of the caps the wiring plugs into was at a jaunty angle ,rather than square, thought strange but as it just passed fitted it (dreaming) although it wasnt when I took it in for test. Yes I should have known bettter /
engine fitted , fired up, delphi on it and it has fault code cyl 1 (that injector) inj circuit present (fault ) sounds like its on 3 cyl untill 18oo rpm when it sounds right .
my question is how can I check loom ok and no fault there , as it says on readout, circuit not injector , because otherwise it means stripping down top end to get injector out .
I realise these are triggered by low volts but not how to test , apart from pulling plug of and trying but that would just prove fault on no.1 but I already know that . all and any advice appreciated , no mot so its gotta be done on the driveway.

thanks , yes , just been googling and you tube...trying to remind the old fried noggin how to do these things , mmight invest in a power probe , first thing is I will check voltage at each cap with a meter ,simple first steps I think.

The injector is part of the circuit, and the injectors don't run on low voltage, they run at 80+V, and only get powered when fired.

If they're solenoid injectors, then first check is to check the resistance, then it'll be unplug the ECU and re-check the resistance through the full loom.

They wont be stacked piezos on a L200.

Resistance check thru solenoid coil - they take reading on the good one "next door" - to compare...

ok, no 1 is where fault is shown, both one and two injectors show same resistance , voltt check on loom to injector plug ,both show exactly 6 volt ? I thought from previous dealings it was5.5 , so both seem good

It occurs to me , I had to buy a second hand injector as one was missing , got it tested along with original 3 , now I did re fresh on injector (or what ever its called on delphi) so was presuming its fully coded in, now this may well be the fault , what sequence do I go threw to code in a replacement ? thanks for your time .

hmmm, tried to get 30 digit code from top of injector , last line is un readable due to who ever bodged on cap at a jaunty angle has mangled the plastic so digits are illegable .(so much for getting them profesionally tested) asked seller if per chance they have record on sales listing.

Right , got at it today , checked and put in the correct inj code no.s with delphi , relearn , and its still running on 3 showing P0201 injector circuit present , checked and 6 volt on all plugs , and each pulsing with engine running . Any other checks before I pull top apart and swap out no 1 injector ?

I checked pulse with a test light screw driver ,it worked , pulsed on the led /neon or what ever it is! cheers.

Before i pull and fit another injector in no.1 ,does any one actually know if no1 is at front or as we would call it no4 , I ask as told toyota call no4 ,no1. and I would hate to do the No 1 and find its actually what we call No4 , this has been enough of a no 2 already

Ok, so all the wiring checked out , I de clad a short portion of cover on no 1lead due to pvc tape on it , thinking there might be a repair underneath , nope all good , so as I used heat gun to warm the pvc tape I used that to warm the cap (socket) on no. 1 . after getting it hot I tapped it firmly with the end of my small torch to get it reasonobly flat/square as it should be , looked reasonable , tried engine ,it now runs as smooth as silk ,Ye . delphi on and no faults shown. So will strip top down , remove injector and either fix properly or replace .
