Hi again folks, here's the pics I promised in the newbie section, a few bits welded up for the exhaust system so far, results fairly good given I've only been doing Tig for about 5-6 days now!!

Some more photo's folks, splitter pipe for twin backboxes, both running from 3" to 2.5"

And the twin rear boxes tack welded up, run out of gas so will seam them later on

Been running jap cars for a long time myself, until now anyway. As for power mate, will have to disagree with you there.

No worries , we'll agree to disagree ! I'm hoping to finish my engine Build this year , target is 500 BHP at the wheels. Funds have been tight so fingers crossed !

Twin exit's are quieter than the equivlent single.

You won't loose any power if they are well spec'd and in a lot of cases you can run a bigger twin exit than a large single. I'm talking 3.5" plus when you can't go any bigger with a large single.

If you want power, front exit's are where its at.

quick story

Couple of years ago I popped out to get some more wire (running low). Left the then partner doing a service. while I am out a landy comes in that needed the usual patch near the rear door latch.

I come back to find the door open and my partner merrily grinding away, sparkes flying into the inside of the car.

I'm not overly impressed, no sheets around and personal possessions being showered. including a canvas bag. He hadn't bothered to clear out the inside of the vehicle. If he had have bothered looking instead of trying to make a quick couple of quid he might have noticed the bag was full of shot gun cartridges....
