Mini grinder using old discs

nothing wrong with using worn disks they dont run as fast as when they are new . been doing it for over 50 years and not had one go yet

But that does not mean it is safe for others to do

One dodgy disc, in the wrong tool and a bit of bad luck will take out an eye, or worse

Can't see the point, when the proper discs aren't expensive.

one dodgy disk or even a good one in the proper tool used badly will do that use googles or a mask if your so safety conscience

Die grinder stones can kill you. A guy on a long-lost forum I used to inhabit had one explode and took out his eye socket.

A guy I used to work with lost an eye using a ride on lawnmower, freak accident despite wearing safety specs.
I still cut the grass knowing it could happen to me but it's incredibly unlikely as he worked all day with spinning machines and it was an extremely rare occurrence.
It's likley much more dangerous for any of us to take a ride in a car then use a grinder...

Air die grinders run at up to 20,000 rpm so I wouldn't recommend fitting discs rated for 10,000 rpm. Not sure what speed those 2" grinders run at but it will likely to be very fast in order to get the required torque!
