Mate of mine has one and I've used it a few times.
Nice enough bit of kit.
Body is large compared to the size of the belt. High speed so not a massive amount of torque.
If you have the milwalkee battery system it's probably a no-brainer.
There are not a lot of other cordless options anyway.
I've not used/seen the B&D.
I've got a few metabo ones. Some of those are low speed/high torque which are far better for working with stainless etc.
All my metabo ones are 18v though so it's not really fair of me to knock the milwalkee's power as the metabos are all a lot bigger.
Metabo ones have a selection of extra arms / nose roller sizes available which makes them far more versatile (although all the accessories are expensive) Not sure if any other makes offer that.
I've also got a couple of home-made ones mounted onto bosch tools.
One of those has the same size belt as the milwalkee but is more compact and more powerfull. The paddle trigger on the milwalkee makes it easier to use than my homemade bosch one though.
Pneumatic is still the best proformance for the price but I've not used any of my air ones since going cordless.

I like mine, used it a lot more than I thought I would. 40 grit and a 6ah battery and it flies.

Cheers everyone. I have the B&D corded one and it has plenty of power but working under the car on the driveway the cord is a pain as you’re constantly laid on it or you’re in the way of the handle as you can’t adjust the angle.
I had contemplating air for the angle option but since I already have the Milwaukee M12 and M18 thought I’d ask as it covers both cordless and angle

you mention working on cars ..
have you already got the m12 die grinder ? i had doubts if i would mine but i use it loads and would replace it if broken , ise the 2" rolocs on it , id buy that before a belt sander

I have the right angle die grinder already and its a great too but as compact as it is can’t reach all places.

If it’s the 13mm one and you’re willing to part with it we might be able to come some arrangement especially if you’re still after the palm/trim router

Did borrow one to use,but i found it didnt have as much balls as my cheap 240v silverline £30+ jobby i bought few years back,milwaukee ,body only, stands at around £175,and for something thats hardy used,well

One thing with these (and most high power 12v tools) is they need a good condition battery.
I'm always hearing people complain about them being gutless or stalling.
I ask about the battery but they say that it must be good as it works fine in the drill..
I think the brushless motors push the limits of the 12v battery platform.

I've had the b&d unit, and the parkside version. The Milwaukee is better. A decent battery is required, but it rips weld away better than a flap disk. 6ah at the minimum, with one on charge to go.

That's exactly what you want.
I was speaking to a bosch rep recently who says the 12v motors/controllers they are using are capable of 40% more power than the batteries they have can currently deliver.
Apparently they are developing a 'pro-core' 12v battery that should give some of the existing (& new) tools a decent power boost.

Have you tried one of your normal batteries in it?
Would be interesting to see if there is a noticeable difference?

Not yet but probably get the chance this weekend and also try the 5ah battery in the stubby torque gun too
