Milwaukee M12 Powerfile

I bought the 13mm powerfile today along with a 5AH High Output battery. Great bit of kit with plenty of control and even on low speed has no problems removing material. Surprised how smooth it is, no vibration just smooth operation.

This is my combination of choice, I also use the High output batteries in the die grinder too.

Have you tried one of your normal batteries in it?
Would be interesting to see if there is a noticeable difference?

I’m impressed with the 5ah high output battery. Noticeably more power when on the grinder compared to the 6ah standard battery. The battery has been swapped between the grinder and power-file for a good few hours this morning and only once did the power-file bog down and that was when the battery had gone down to one bar but that was after a few hours.

Loving the power-file, I’ve been using when I’d normally have reached for the flap disc. Surprised that I’m still on the same belt too which is one of the 2 that Milwaukee supply in the box. Might buy more of these if they all last like these.

Tried it with a 6ah normal battery and there is a noticeable difference to the high output battery. Also tried the 5ah in the stubby torque gun and down to one bar on the battery it never struggled.

I’m really impressed with these Milwaukee belts. I’d finally worn the original one down and replaced it with a blue zirconium one that is usually recommended in this group. The replacement belt didn’t run as smoothly and broke well before it had worn. Put on the second and last Milwaukee belt and it was to back smooth and finished all the weld grinding and looks barely used.
