Fortunatly its coming on a pallet , that way i can get them to move it with a pallet truck , then lift it off that with a block and tackle .
I had a look around the wharehouse , its like alladins bloody cave , there was 5 harrison m300 gap bed lathes, and some 4 jaw chucks that must have been 4 to 5 ft ,

Its in sheffield , rileys machinary , they have a website but there is hardly anything on it .
They must have had 500 or more peices of machinary everything from small bench drills to big presses ,lathes , grinders , band saws , you name it ... It was there

Thats the place , there was a bridgeport head on a shelf and the guy said he sells quite a few , iv sent him a message asking too.
Right one for the electrical wizzards , this miller has a 2hp ( i think duel voltage motor ) motor in , a coolant pump and a table feed motor , allthough the feed motor is toast .
How power hungry will this be , i was going to use my 3hp phase converter to run it thinking it would be 1hp , the table motor is 1/3 hp b42 frame and upon searching the net i cant find anything in the uk that size , is there an equivelent i should know about .

No , they had a engineer fit a new worm drive to the motor shaft , he bust the o ring when he put it back together , the gearbox was filled with oil which in turn leaked into the motor and fried the windings , hence the reason i got it a bit cheaper .
I have the motor here in a box of bits , could probably get it rewound ... But it may be cheaper to start with another .
I've acquired a "pedersen" horizontal mill and I wanted to turn it into a vertical mill since its more useful to me so I've got a head of a "bridgeport" clone and built the plate and the adapter that enabled me to "implant" the head on the machine. I've also left the place for the horizontal shaft, so if will come the case that I'll need it - I'll still be able to use it. btw - it has powerfeed on three axes of the table.

There is a j type Bridgeport head on the bay at the moment , needs some bits though
