It really isn't been my week, I am repairing my tedder after a close encounter with a lump of sheep netting and as I am putting it back together I notice a small amount of play on one of the shafts, well in for a penny in for a pound. As these things are over £500 I decided to get a local machinist to square up the worn bore in the casting slightly oversize so I could turn down the shaft, make a bushing and hey presto. This is what I got back - bear in mind to top was only .3mm oversize and the bottom .86mm oversize of the original 35mm bore before it went in.
End result, expensive pile of scrap unless someones got any suggestions.
