Gents
I have to weld up a heap of holes on my Ford F150 bed and some of them have these stress cracks in them. I still need to drill out the holes to clean them up before I weld them up.
Should I be taking a thin cutoff wheel and cut along the cracks to give some space for the weld to go in for any heat shrinkage (like when you leave a gap when mig welding a patch panel in).
Or do I just tack weld over the top?
Appreciate any help
