The engine may be running next week, and then again it may not be! I am not aiming for a show winning restoration, the "original" red leather will be going back in with just a recolour, some is actually original and some was sourced used in the 70's, new, better carpets will be ordered, I am unsure about the dash as it has a crinkle black finish that is it seems not correct, maybe someone changed it early on due to glare from the body colour (OE White) facia, on balance I will probably leave it black,Matchless.
That’s a lot of work but looks like a quality job.
I’m free next week and am ready to test drive it with you .
Keep us updated with your progress.

Dodge now runs and drives, lights work,Took a day off from the MG, I towed my 1929 Dodge home from the council garage it has been sitting in very unloved for the last 6 years, it has suffered a bit but was actually far better than I thought it would be! I had to stop driving it when my shoulders started to get very painful. I am trying to get it running again and probably next year tackle the list of jobs that needed doing before I parked it. The starter solenoid has died so I mounted a spare pull cable MGA one and made up new battery leads, fitted new points, new battery going in tomorrow, then may look at the water pump leak, bleed the brakes and see how it runs! It is nothing as nice in the flesh but will come good.

The Jag is progressing very slowly, I drove it out of the workshop shed and into the cleaner storage shed to do the interior and build the doors but .......... it is not heated in that shed and I have little enthusiasm for those jobs and the main thing is that I MUST get the MG on the road this year as it was my actual honeymoon car in 1975, I did plan to get the JAG finished before starting the MG ...........but I realised that time was running out! I have owned the Dodge for over 20 years so not a new project, I have spent a day getting it back usable locally, will need more work if I am going to use it for say a weekend away! that can wait for another year. It’s gone very quiet on the Jaguar front? Have I missed something?
