I borrowed one way back when they were a bit newer - I stepped out of my Alfa 75, drove this Merc around the block, braked at the same point I did in the Alfa every morning . . . and sailed straight past the turn into work. . . didn't mind the bus steering wheel, but the brakes . . .Moving house put a hold on this,
More of the same the other side with the welding, and I replaced the front portion of the exhaust from the manifold to midpipe.
Flew through the MOT, quite surprised tbh, might daily drive it for a little while now.. I'm not sure I can live with the huge steering wheel though.

Have to keep an eye on this as Winchgirl wants one!
put a bigger pulley on the SC and a remap of the bottom power from SC and boat less work than a turbo conversion you might be surprised how much extra you can gain .Picked one up the other day,
First seller stopped replying to me, why is it so hard to buy things at asking price this one neglected to tell me the heater blower didn't work .. at 8pm in -1 with a lot of fog, definitely not a fun hour drive home ..
A little ashamed to say I quite enjoy driving it
Full service history and only 66k miles, should be a good engine to drop in.
Looking at my options yet but the plan is to ditch the supercharger and go for a turbo, 350hp aim.. should be quite lively in the 190

My old boss had a 560sec and it's still the fastest car I've ever driven.V8 from w126 would have been my choice, pretty much plug n play
I'd imagine the gearboxes won't match, presume different prop length if swapping box too.
Auto or manual?
Was always rather partial to the old m117 unitMy old boss had a 560sec and it's still the fastest car I've ever driven.
I always thought the beauty of the 190 was the reputation of the engine and running gear to do starship mileage reliably.... so if it was me I'd baulk at going for the CLK complicated ECU / potential fusebox festival sparky bits - when the current 136k lump will probably still be rumbling along at 436K
