The yellow does stand out . I wouldn't use metallic paint. Just a gloss black and silver .the original Mellor colour was black. I just didn't want to spend ages stripping it and painting original colour.On my Fobco I initially tried white but it became lost I felt. The yellow works much nicer. Tbh I'm not a fan of metallic coats on machinery but whatever floats your boat!

Don't have the passion for detailing myself. All I cared about was getting the rust and old paint off and a new coat on lol.

Got the bracket done. Trial fit and all is good. Just a few minor details to sort and prep for paint.

After some consideration I have decided to clear lacquer the cast panel. It's just to good to paint.

Definitely need to fab a new brackets. A trip to my local for some 12mm plate.

Think i have spent to much time in a production environment where getting it running asap take priority.
When i looked at that my first thought was 2 short lengths of something around 12x50 4 tapped holes for the motor and 4 csk screws to suit existing tapped holes.

That was my original plan. But there is so little room were the bolts for mounting the motor as they would hit that plate . My plan is to get a lump of 12mm plate same size as motor footprint .then cut the pivots off and weld them to the new plate

Thinking about it Chris.i can do it the way you suggested. Had a slightly different plan but after looking at it for a while my idea wouldn't work.

Managed to get a bit done until the crackern put stop to play. Motor base plate sorted. Just got Mark holes and drill. 3/8 whitworth counter sunk bolts. Will probably use 3/8 whitworth for the mounting feet. Plate is 10mm thick. Did consider 16mm as there was more thickness for threading but 10mm should be enough .
