Let me know when you want the biker back
What faults did you have on your Trafic?Nice one, I went thru loads of hassle like i said with my Renault trafic.
Not sure why the injection indicator is not resetting other than its seeing a fault still of some description.
Is it the diesel 1.9dci or 2.0 m9r engine
What faults did you have on your Trafic?
The reason I ask is I have had one for nearly 2 years, a 2010 with about 97000 miles on the clock and apart from the lights on the heater panel not working (was like it when I got it) and a clunk coming from the offside front when I switch lock at low speed* it been faultless.
*It's booked into the garage next week to have it checked.
Yep done the whole lot on mine. Front coil springs, shock absorbers, front antiroll bar bushes, drop links.,O/S balljoint & tyres. 2 weeks later without warning timing chain snapped.and destroyed my engine..its the roads up here that destroy the van. (timing chain just bad luck) Argyll and bute has some of the worse roads in Scotland. Even although I am an engineer and do all the work myself it still cost me a lot if money in parts and lost earningsMy megane has that clunk...it's very possibly the front bush on the lower arm...the 2 bits of steel it sits between bend and the bush and steel sleeve moves and clunks as it twists...
I do all my work myself, have spent just over 2k on it in 3 years now. Only cost 1200 to buyYep done the whole lot on mine. You should have fixed the alfa lol.... ;-)
Yep that's a lot of money pal for sure.I do all my work myself, have spent just over 2k on it in 3 years now. Only cost 1200 to buy
At least if that one goes bang you should get a replacement quite quick. I thought about leasing when I was self employed but never got round to it then decided I preferred not being self employedYep that's a lot if money pal for sure.
I leased a new van for business at start of this year, it's a hefty amount of money every month but at least the bloody thing goes.
I am totally ****** without a van, my whole budiness depends on it as I am mobile and live out in the sticks too.
I have a Peugeot boxer 435 XLWB now and 12 months down the line now trouble so far.
N reg Toyota hiace would run till the end of time if the bodywork held up. The mechanical engineering on them is absolutely amazing.Had French junk for many years, and while it was working not bad, but problems always seemed to be major, even though carefully maintained (last one camshaft broke in half on M/way). Now have Toyota Hiace, which is better in pretty much every way, and seem to do to the moon and back with no issues at all. Only problem with them is that even a high mile 10 year old one is going to cost a fair amount of money.
That was a very good choice - I love and hate it.At least if that one goes bang you should get a replacement quite quick. I thought about leasing when I was self employed but never got round to it then decided I preferred not being self employed
Don't pull his chain, it's the only thing that hasn't broken yet on the carYeah but the megane will likely need that and more before long lol....
(just pulling your chain)

I have seen two N reg ones that the body's literally fell to pieces at the end.of their lives and the engines were still going. Amazing
They are fantastic, Japanese engineering Whatmore do I need to say!I think if the French junk was half as good, you would have some fantastic vans. Its not though, and I for one will never have another French van! Hiace not as quick as French, but very relaxing to drive as loads of torque, and seems pretty good mpg.
What age and mileage was your Trafic? They are fantastic, Japanese engineering Whatmore do I need to say!
Its like you said tho, a new Toyota hiace is a hefty price tag but if you can afford it they are well worth it. The French vans are cheap. Fast and economical but they are scrappers with no value after approx 7 years
Very good on fuel I could get near on 680 miles out of a tank on Renault if I didn't shoe it all the time.
Putting that in perspective, they are none of above if it dosnt bloody go!!
2007 2.0dci mate 105,000 miles snapped timing chain wrote the engine offWhat age and mileage was your Trafic?
