Deff sounds like water in somewhere but then again Renault electrics are always packing up there known for it not ideal but if it's still slashing it down get out there with a torch see if there any water building up or dripping in might help solve the problem quicker

have been out there a few times, have put paper towel in the fuse box, all around the ecu etc and the paper is still bone dry...if its still raining in the moring i have a gazebo i can put up over it, and i have about 200kg of cast iron dumbbell weights i can use to anchor it down so will stick that up so i can atleast work in the dry

Your right there pal. My Renault trafic nearly put me out of business with problems. I am an engineer and done all my own repairs as cannot afford huge garage bills but the working / earning time I lost Was immense

i did, it was useless...asked a simple question about one of the multiplex modules, had about 35 replies giving me dud info and people having a chat about their own cars then got a load of sarcastic comments telling me that if i didnt know the answer then i shouldnt be playing with cars at all (think it was just a question about where the interior multiplex was fed from).

this is a far better place to ask these types of questions i feel as there is far more knowledge here than most other places.

right...it works again...still bone dry paper towels there this morning and it belted it down last night so decided to open the fuse box up and have a poke around with the meter...didnt get that far though as when i opened it i could smell that familiar scent of burnt out components...2 diodes and a surface mount resistor...

i had direct replacement diodes so soldered them in but dont have any surface mount resistors so soldered on a bit of wire to each side and stuck a resistor on there...its only a 1/4W but the car fired up first time...runs smoothly and all electrics work again except rear windows, but i dont use them so i dont care.

cant get a check injector fault message to clear though, and the service light is on and my diagnostics wont give me the option to clear it...any ideas?

Nice one, I went thru loads of hassle like i said with my Renault trafic.
Not sure why the injection indicator is not resetting other than its seeing a fault still of some description.
Is it the diesel 1.9dci or 2.0 m9r engine

A guy in our street drives a Megane. It has a dodgy starter clutch or something as he has to turn it over a couple of time before it engages.
I wager my bets of yours being the next problem....unless you have already had issues with it and I missed it. I'd still wager my bet on it regardless
