Even though the car was on the "wanted" list before the accident the police would not remove it unless it was a danger to other road users - it was on the grass verge at the time, if it was left on the verge for a few weeks the council can remove it.

Where you not tempted to remove a couple of wheels or let the tyres down.
Having said that if you have the sort of luck i have you'd probably end up in trouble.
It seems the law doesn't favour the innocent party these days.

It had 2 flat tyres (one rim bent) both airbags gone off due to the impact when he landed - still managed to move it though!

Unfortunately, the world seems to be filling up with motoring ar#ewipes.
Wifey has been hit in the rear of her motor 4 times in 3 years.
First time - stationary at red lights - to##er runs into her and then claims that she rolled back into him. Took nearly nine months to get that one sorted, but he lost in the end.
Second time - stationary in traffic queue, and had been for 20-30 seconds when a to##er two cars back shunts the moter behind her into her car (I was passenger this time), and then gets shirty when we want his details. He lost, again it took months to sort it out.
Third time - I'm a passenger again - we stop at a zebra crossing and, Wham! a fairly stout whack on the offside three-quarter. Police called this time as wfey got a bit of a whiplash, and the van driver (colour white van) admitted liability. Obviously not one of the lying weasels you normally come across.
Fourth time - at a red traffic light again - Iveco 3½ tonner rolls into rear while to##er-thats-old-enough-to-know-better was fiddling with his phone. "That'll polish out" he says. "Maybe, but by a professional coachworks" I say, "Give us your details". And another one gets the hump on account of his own stoooopidity.
At least we were fortunate enough for all of them to be insured. There's far too many to##ers about now with no insurance. etc.
Bring back transportation! We could send them all to Albania or some other place where the rules don't matter.

deporting them would be agent there human rights. Firing squad is the answer and it would give employment to the scrongers of the system.
