When I was an apprentice the firm specialized in Church wiring All fixings had to be plugged even the old fold over cable clips Every hole drilled with a Rawlplug bumper

This is what we were issued with for drilling brick when I first started,
if you put any pressure on them they jammed up so mainly used a brace and bit which took ages especially in Accrington brick
if you couldn't drill the joint. When I advanced to a rawl plugging tool it saved me ages so long as it was in a joint. Kids today don't know their born 




well you know
god who thinks them up . yes can go along with stuff dropping of the ceiling but it can hardly fall off the wall and hinder entrance in a fire . the safety clips work out at about 40 pence each I think
