@WorkshopChris I was having a read up on galv maskers and apparently good old red hermetite will survive those temperatures and protect a thread.
@Gareth0123 I have a cunning plan Just bouncing ideas about here Gareth.
Perhaps knock up a mandrel , Diameter A fits snug inside your tube as a guide which will give you an accurate non drunken thread. Diameter B is a snug fit inside your die holder and is cross bolted to the mandrel. Diameter C is 13mm and filed, ground, hacksawed or milled three sided to fit your drill. Add a small hole to the back of the die holder so you can give it a puff of compressed air to clear the swarf. Just thoughts.
