To be fair I have the same drill as part of a kit , 13 months in the chuck literaly fell off , sent back on warranty and got a new chuck fitted . and low and behold 12 moths later it was wobbling all over the place , sent back , new and different chuck .
The rep said that whilst it has percussion drill capability , 6mm would be the max recommended size , even though I only drill up to 8 , any bigger then the sds comes out .
food for thought , but to be fair Makita upheld the warranty , it was picked up by courier and delivered back , all to their expense , not mine .
