If you want to discuss moving machines you could come over to my workshop and have a chat.
Thank you, very kind of you to offer. I'll take you up on that soon.

PS. Where were the missed lathes???
If your ever moving something heavy, let me know. I'd gladly come and lend a hand so I can get a feel for the processes. What id learn would be invaluable, and I like a bit of a challenge!
Well, if you ever rearange the workshop...Unfortunately my workshop is full, plus if I buy anything large there might be a problem with the boss in doors.........unless I'm very lucky.....
One was in hereford. Seemed like a proper ball ache. Was going to hire a van, (my caddy isn't big enough), go down with an engine crane, and hope.
I assumed it would bring good money too.
It sold for £200
For that price I'd have found a way!
I'm a bit further south if you need another pair of hands / winch / Tirfor etc. - only available weekends though.Thank you, very kind of you to offer. I'll take you up on that soon.
So would I, I suggest you come over and have a chat before you miss any more bargains....

My Center is the smaller version of this, 2a not 2b, I stripped the large pieces off and then it was relatively easy to move about on my own. There are some pics in one of the threads. You mention a Centec, they are easy to move. My wife and I moved this one on our own with an engine crane and strapped to a home made dolly. Note the position of the purple lifting strap as that is recommended in the manual.

I did see yours. You got a fantastic deal with all the ancillary stuff and the vertical head too. Fully loaded as in my pic the 2b weighs 208 kgs! The lathe weighs 435 kgs so I just went for itMy Center is the smaller version of this, 2a not 2b, I stripped the large pieces off and then it was relatively easy to move about on my own. I did think you would be one of the best people to ask!!Scaffold boards and poles. That's how I move all my stuff about
the best point to roll anything is your doorway steps

get the tail lift driver to reverse up and block the road and drop the tail lift onto the flags of the doorway path
roll it towards the door spin it and spin it again just lay extra flags for spin round
Have you considered moving house?....What are my options?
