Hi folks
Any advice on removing a jammed cross slide on an M300. The lathe has been working fine, I was just knurling a bar making a Fobco drill stop nut when the cross slide went tight. Initially it would screw in and was tight coming out then was almost impossible to move. The previous job was bronze, theer was a lot of fine bronze swarf on the lathe, not sure if that could have caused this?
I then took the jub scrip adjusting screws out to see if that would help, still jammed solid.
I have tried a stout blow with a mallet with a block of wood against the cross slide, no luck.
Any ideas/suggestions?
I have stripped out the screw and cannot see what can be holding the cross slide bar the jib strip.
