a few days ago went to use my wand tester and couldn't find it had a hunt round no luck went to screwfix today buy a new one about 14 quid . they had none in was in van tonite looking for other stuff and it was hiding in the bottom of toolbox funny how things turn up when your looking for something else

Was looking for a role of dpm.

Couldn't find it anywhere.

Was even starting to think, did I have one? Had I already used it?

Generally doubting my mind.

Priced and was ready to buy a new role.

Then looking for some hole saws, found it next to the hot water tank behind some beading....

Still looking for the roll of PER water pipe, I'm sure I have, but might have used?

I'm sure when I buy another roll, I'll find it.

Stupidest/funniest thing I do fairly often,looking for my reading glasses,their resting on my head!

Storing stuff in a safe place does this as well. You buy again and think what place should I store this - then find the other..
Worst one, had to order specific bolts from Japan after a bike fork strip down, could not find the bolts anywhere, duly arrive, offered up to find the bolts I had put back in for safe keeping

Trust me, the problem only gets worse the older you get! Or should I say I misplace things more frequently these days?

That's why I have two sets of 3/8" drive E Torx. Anybody seen my specs ?

When Im doing anything I need at least 3 of each tool....hammers seem to evaporate and re-appear right in front of me, once Ive found another.....and tape measures....dont ask me where they go

I lost a cross slide gib for a Colchester lathe and had to make a new one. I'd turned my workshop upside-down looking for it - and it ended up getting a thorough clean and tidy in the process.

A couple of weeks after making and fitting the new gib something I put on top of my tool cabinet rolled under the tig welder which lives there on top. I swiped it out with a long screwdriver, and with it came the missing gib.

Duct tape, bought them less than a month ago, cheap in lidl.

Used one last weekend.

Impossible to find either this morning.

They're not that small either.
