This is my garage / workshop - single garage sized, with the door opening onto the lawn (don't ask - was like that when we moved in)
I have the perennial problem of having too much stuff and not enough garage, and it occurred to me that a lot of space is taken up by "stock": Wood, metal, paint, oil containers, etc. that I could move out but it would still need to be relatively close by.
At the side of the garage is a wall that I don't want to disrupt and, behind that, is a slope heading into a hill.
So I've got some space which is about 3ft6 by 8ft, bounded by the wall, gutter, slope and drainage.
I could install a plastic shed up there, but the biggest 3ft frontage seems to be around 6ft long. Fair enough but it feels like I will be limited having to step in and build shelves.
I then kind of thought about just having some kind of covered (by what? totally dunno) shelving against the garage wall but it seems like it will be uncomfortably exposed to the elements.
Any thoughts or suggestions, especially around some kind of enclosed shelving?
It doesn't need to be secure. Partly cos the neighbourhood (touch wood) is pretty safe but mostly because there's nothing that would go in there that would be particularly scrote-appealing.
