Just bought two plasma's
Not sure, either would have been OK.
18 months ago I was busier - so was filed under 'CBA' for a £6 item. So on point of principle and being tight, yesterday I found it in the shed and sent them all the info requested, with a month left on the 3 year warranty.
The instructions for use instructed one to contact Lidl C.S. for such claims. Obvs I never read them, having pumped up tyres since the mid 70s.

I think it was them I contacted to see if I could buy a replacement plug for the oil filler hole on my wee [read asthmatic
] 25ltr compressor. Very helpful young lady [always play the 'hopeless old man' card 
] said she would arrange for one to be sent to me. She did, and it arrived FOC from Germany.

Not available to purchase until Thursday in my neck of the woods, though I did ask in a Lidl store near a petrol station we stopped at on our way to Brynmawr today; even with my best California accent and smile, I couldn't convince the girl to sell me one, so I must be past my sell by date as my wife has told me, lol.
Can't see that being the case as we can buy the 40a version in NI with a 16a plug fitted & we are also part of the UK so fall under the same rules as you in GB.
Managed to pick one up in wolverhampton (Scotlands) lidi. there were another two on the floor after i got mine. Already have a chinese cut40 but first one i had blew up and got it replaced but always been cautious of my current one going bang. now i have a spare with good warrenty.

) I went into Liddle's in Stratford upon Avon Warwickshire this Morning 9.30am and there were only 2 left on the shelf. I put mine into the truck at the same time another Guy grabbed the last one.. I will take mine out of the Box and take a good look at it in a while. I look forward to hearing how some of you Guys get on with yours.Having never used one before can someone tell me Do I just use my auto welding Helmet or do I need to use my old gas welding goggles while I do the cutting. so how r u getting on with your Plasma Cutter.

As I had to go into Bristol this morning I went straight to big new store in Muller road. Quite surprised to find they had 5 on the shelf, 4 after I left. There are about 10 Lidl stores in Bristol and after last nights posts about people rushing out at 10pm I had expected to have to visit several of them. So looks like there should be plenty available for people in the Bristol area.

Overslept as intended being at Lidl for when doors opened but didn't get there until nearly 11.00. Luckily they still had one cutter so grabbed it My normal tip - staple the receipt to the instructions and put always safely. That way you have what is needed it it ever packs up during the 3 year warrantee period for a free replacement or repair.

my tip phtograph receit or scan the receit as then a digital reference as receits do fade over the years

I would advise also putting it in an envelope first and storing in a cool place. Thermal till receipts degrade quite quickly and if kept in warm, light places the degradation is accelerated so much so that if you do need it you may be faced with a blanks receipt. I personally scan them and also store the scanned one with it for my books, just in case Mr Tax Man decides he wants to look after a few years

You surely can use an autodarkening helmet , there are some that have a dedicated plasma cutting setting .
There are people who like using the autodarkening helmet set up on shade 4(grinding mode) and others who recommended to set it up on shade 9 which will be my starting point once I get a plasma cutter (it's a real pain , every single time in going to buy one I have to spend my money in much more important things)
